Scope of this chapter
This chapter highlights some key principles, and seeks to establish a clear framework and pathway, in respect of responding to the risks of significant harm outside the family and in the community that young people may experience. These might be: sexual exploitation; trafficking; County Lines; extremism and self-harm. It reflects the current ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and the Research in Practice paper ‘That Difficult Age’.
